I’m kinda wondering why there have been two snowboarding episodes now, but oh well. I don’t really care. This one was a school trip where 5th and 6th graders are given snowboarding lessons from a professional snowboarder that is their age, Tori Mihuyu. She’s a very talented snowboarder and a very odd, bubbly girl, but despite these qualities she gets scared and nervous before competitions. This is where the birth of her shugo chara, Snoppe, comes in handy. Snoppe is a calm eskimo looking guardian and it seems like her only real “power” is to do a character transformation that calms Mihuyu down. Even though Snoppe seems weak, Ran, Miki, Suu, and Nikaido recognize that Snoppe is actually a very powerful shugo chara.
Amu and the guardians obviously befriend Mihuyu and help her deal with her pre-contest jitters. But Nikaido is up to no good as usual. He gets to Mihuyu and makes her believe that all of Japan is depending on her and will be mad if she messes up. This makes her more and more nervous. She believes less and less in Snoppe causing her guardian to return to its egg. Nikaido sneaks up, grabs the egg, and turns it into an X egg for some experiment he is working on. The guardians see Mihuyu on the big screen and notice that she is nervous and make their way to her.
I’m guessing Nikaido’s experiment is the same one that he stole Suu for in the manga. He steals Suu and attempts to infuse a massive amount X egg power into her so that she would be reborn as an embryo. Let’s see how this plays out in contrast to the manga.
