Persona -trinity soul- 08

Persona -trinity soul- 08

We, once again, get to see Jun in action. This whole episode revolves around a new transfer student named Mayuri. She has a past with Kanaru and both Shin and Jun feel they have met her before. We find out that Kanaru likes Shin and Takuro likes Megumi. Megumi kind of displays feelings towards Takuro and Shin returns them a bit to Kanaru, but we can’t tell if the two actually return the feelings yet.

With the coming of the Mayuri, strange things that happening around the school. Tree limbs and metal bars twist like springs and solid objects slide through each other and stay in put. People link these occurrences to Mayuri or possibly to an unknown ghost without any evidence, but Shin and Jun determine that it might be a persona rather than a ghost. So the group sneaks into school after hours to scout it out. Things start happening and in the confusion they see Mayuri coughing on the floor. Without question they tend to her, but Jun has gone to deal with other matters.

Shugo Chara! 15

Shugo Shara! 15

This episode, obviously a follow up and closing of the previous predicament, was all about finding Snoppe. The guardians initially figured that Snoppe had gone missing and because of that Mihuy is jittery about competing. This episode, and the occurrences in the previous, give us a good look at how guardian eggs work. I’m not talking about the shugo chara itself, but the reverse of returning to an egg. When Snoppe returned to her egg, Mihuyu lost confidence in herself and didn’t have a chance to wipe away her fears with the power of her shugo chara. When Nikaido turned the egg into an X egg, Mihuyu lost even more confidence, convinced that she was incapable of snowboarding. And finally, when an X character hacthed out of the egg, Mihuyu slipped into a state of utter despair, reiterating her fears. So if you hadn’t caught on to the process of X eggs this episode shows them perfectly.

True Tears 08

True Tears 08

Happy Happy Happy! Shin’ichirou actually started dating Noe without letting that stupid kiss get in the way. I’m so proud of the way he handled that whole situation too. Sorry, can’t be with you like that. I’ll forget this. Of course that hurt Aiko’s feelings. She is happy that she was able to kiss Shin, but she is terribly sad that she was rejected. She can’t have thought that she’d have been accepted. Somewhere in her she had to have known that Shin would have an obligation to his friend.

What was probably the best about this episode was all of the cute Noe shots. You’re watching and just melting whenever there are close ups of her cute face. Hiromi even comments on how Noe has a cute face. She’s kind of jealous when she says it and she realizes that she sounds a little bit like Shin’s mother. But that’s beside the point. I have to say I caught myself when I started saying that Shin’s mother is a bitch. This episode, I didn’t want to, but I saw the whole thing from her point of view and I felt bad for her. Then I went back to calling her a mean old whore.

Shugo Chara! 14

Shugo Chara! 14

I’m kinda wondering why there have been two snowboarding episodes now, but oh well. I don’t really care. This one was a school trip where 5th and 6th graders are given snowboarding lessons from a professional snowboarder that is their age, Tori Mihuyu. She’s a very talented snowboarder and a very odd, bubbly girl, but despite these qualities she gets scared and nervous before competitions. This is where the birth of her shugo chara, Snoppe, comes in handy. Snoppe is a calm eskimo looking guardian and it seems like her only real “power” is to do a character transformation that calms Mihuyu down. Even though Snoppe seems weak, Ran, Miki, Suu, and Nikaido recognize that Snoppe is actually a very powerful shugo chara.

Persona -trinity soul- 07

Persona -trinity soul- 07

This episode was pretty cool because it got me to respect Megumi a little more. The story was all about why Megumi hates personas and shadow pulling/extraction and whatnot. The group, Jun, the girl from the hospital that was on Ryou’s list, and some random guy from some cafe or something went on a trip to a beach side house. On the way there, the girl from the hospital (bear with me with people I don’t care to learn the names of) remembers doing a shadow extraction with Kanaru. This irritates Megumi and she goes off on another little tangent but when a truck passes by their car she has a flashback to a former time in a vehicle and completely forgets what she was talking about. Whenever she remembers this past event her eyes widen and she perks up; simultaneously Jun does the same.

True Tears 07

True Tears 07

This episode evokes one big “awh” from the viewer. You can’t help but feel happy watching it. The majority of the episode doesn’t matter in my mind because the biggest event involved Shin’ichirou finally holding up to his side of his bargain with Jun and asking Noe out. I felt really happy when Shin finally realized his interest in Noe and recognized her own interest in him. It’s funny beacuse the both of them didn’t quite know it, but somewhere inside them they did. When Shin asked her if she liked him romantically she started blushing and ran off. This made Shin realize that he kinda liked Noe back.

One Piece “Enies Lobby”

*cry* That was the best arc yet. These episodes are probably the reason I still watch anime. One Piece renews my love for many things outside of anime. It lifts my spirits and gives me a positive outlook on life.

This arc was all about Luffy and the crew’s pursuit of Robin. They want their nakama back and Luffy isn’t willing to accept that she’s gone. After storming the government island in Rocketman the entire force (Franky Family and the few Galley La foremen included) make their way into the island to clear a path for the strawhats. The one that makes the biggest impact is, of course, Luffy who wasn’t about to follow the plan and let the Franky Family and Galley La foremen get all the fun. Luffy basically pushes into the heart of the island and takes on the majority of the forces. His first big obstacle is Blueno. Continue Reading »

Minami-ke ~Okawari~ 03

Minami-ke ~Okawari~ 03

yeesh! Oh boy am I hating this. I dislike complaining about a show I loved so much. Oh well. I must say that during the entire time I was watching this I was being interrupted by a stupid restart your computer now message because gay windows wants its updates to be top priority. That may have been what was jumping into my fun.

This episode was basically all about how Chiaki and her friends had a lot of homework and wanted to get together to work on it. This group study went the other way mostly because of, yes… you guessed it, Kana. Chiaki and all her friends (Makoto not Mako-chan) came over to study, eat, and after that go to sleep. But the moment Kana heard that the guests would be bringing pajamas she jumped on the idea of a pajama festival (er… pajama party). This obviously didn’t sit right with Chiaki, who only wanted to study, but she soon forgot that and fell into the fun too. Continue Reading »

Persona -trinity soul- 06

Persona -trinity soul- 06

This episode wasn’t good for anything but a quick laugh and another look at Jun’s power. Apparently Jun’s power expands beyond sensing personas like I first thought. He ca, I guess, intercept radio waves and overhear whispers or something. Because when Shin, Jun, and that afro guy were all at an event in the park honoring the chief for a day, Jun overheard the police talking about the kidnapping trade off that would be going on under the wraps. The story was that two kids were kidnapped and the ransom trade off was to be done, in secret, at this event for the cheif for the day, but the person who was supposed to be chief for the day was unable to come. Thus there was a sudden emphasis on continuing the event as planned. So the police force stumble across Megumi, who was returning a lost wallet, and Kanaru, who was lost in the city. The same two girls that were in the karaoke incident. What was peculiar about Kanaru was that she was the girl who is immune to the persona invoking drugs or whatever and the reason she was lost is because she blanked out and came too in a part of the city she wasn’t so familiar with. This made me raise an eyebrow, but I am not sure what to expect of it. The police were unsure about letting them take the place as cheif for the day, but decided to anyways because of their vehemence against kidnapping. When the two are on the stage the detective that was on the case of the karaoke incident said they’d probably be fine and it flashed a shot of the karaoke room covered in blood. These two (or one of the two) have a special power. Continue Reading »
