The second of the brand new shows that I have started watching and will be blogging about is True Tears.
I have to admit that I thought it was going to be gay, but I was willing to give it a chance. Calling a show gay coming from a guy who watches shoujo fairy shows is kind of awkward but I occasionally think that. But I must admit that this show was better than I thought it would be when I read through a summary of it. It is in short about a boy who is nervous around the girl he likes, that due to circumstances surrounding her father’s death now lives in his house. She is very quiet around the house and only seems to cooperate so well because her dad’s business partner’s family is so good to her (the main character’s family). That seems to be the gist of the show and will be the foundation for most of the following drama.
Nakagami Shinichiro, the main character, is having a bad day since he met Isurugi Noe and she cursed him. She is a blatant and frankly kind of odd girl who recently transferred into his grade. She shows interest in climbing trees even though she can’t get down by herself and she talks to two chickens that she has affectionately named Jibeta and Raigomaru. She favors Raigomaru over Jibeta because he “wants to fly.” *Just a thought: Chickens can’t fly so I already liked this girl* Noe says that Shin isn’t the type that wants to fly and that she can; and at an off-handed witty comment about the reason behind her desire to fly being her head being light, she curses him.
At the end of the episode the chicken coupe has been broken into by what is assumed to be a raccoon and Raigomaru is gone. She feels guilty for cursing Shin, saying that this is the payback against her and so she befriends the boy she had wronged.
I can say I am looking forward to this but it just seems like another love triangle, which I have no problem with.
