This episode wasn’t very eventful until the end, but Shin’ichirou is getting closer to Hiromi constantly. This is something I don’t really like, but will have to put up with anyways. Shin found out last episode that Hiromi wasn’t getting close to Noe to get to him but to get to Noe’s older brother. This makes Shin pretty sad and he starts to avoid Hiromi as much as possible. Avoiding someone you live with doesn’t really work out that well and typically only has you looking like a dick. So the majority of the episode Shin is a dick to Hiromi and when she finally asks him if he’s avoiding her he puts on an act about just being a little upset that she wasn’t truthful with him and that he is just fine but wishes that he had known the reason why she wanted to get close to Noe from the start. This conversation was kind of awkward and made me feel bad for Shin, but I felt worse for Hiromi because of how she reacted to it. She had been coming out of her shell more, talking to Shin and noticing him outside of the house, and now she has to try and deal with his mixed up feelings. In regards to those feelings, I have a bet that she knows that he likes her.
While Shin is feeling down, Ai takes advantage of the opportunity to take Shin out shopping even though she is dating that one buddy of Shin’s that I don’t really care to learn the name of because I don’t think he’s all that important or interesting. Anyways, Ai lies about him having to do something in order to get some time with Shin. During the shopping, she constantly asks Shin’s opinion on different tops and he seems disinterested, but when he finally stops and looks at a top she ridicules him on how plain it is only to buy it later when he wasn’t in the store.
The relationship between Ai and Shin’s buddy is pretty much exactly what she was talking about to Shin in the previous episode saying that sometimes to get close to somebody you must get close to another first. Her love for Shin is incredibly obvious and seems like it is given away when she notices Shin and Noe walking together later on in the episode. She comments on how cute Noe is as if she is subtlety challenged by Noe’s presence.
We also get to see Noe and her brother’s relationship after her outing with Shin. Previously in the episode she explains to Shin that she doesn’t need his tears of sadness over Hiromi and that they are worthless to her, but that she will help Shin get closer to Hiromi. I’m guessing she needs “True Tears,” teehee.Anyways Noe explains how she can only take tears from someone dear to her and that’s why she chose Shin. Shin finally gets Noe’s attention that the seeds are not edible for himby getting her to eat some herself. This repulsion from the taste leads into the glance of her relationship with her brother. Noe and Jun seem very close. He straps her bike helmet on for her and even jokes with her about her obsession with food close to the sky, but what really catches his attention is the frequency at which she talks about Shin’ichirou. This provokes him to visit Shin’s house and request that he date his little sister. Thus ending the episode.
I’m sure we’ll find out his reasons behind wanting his beloved little sister to be handed off to some guy that he has never met before. I betting it’s something along the lines of “She’s never really been close to anyone.” “She always talks about you.” type stuff. Whatever the reason is I don’t care. I am just glad that Noe is making a bigger impression into Shin’s life. Hopefully he’ll take Jun up on the offer and date Noe
By now I’m sure you’ve noticed that I only do my screen shots of Noe. It’s not favoritism (even though I do like her better). It’s just that she tends to do the eye catching cut things. I can’t help but watch the episode and go “Ooh! That’s my screen shot.” just because it’s Noe doesn’t mean anything other than she’s winning the cuteness contest in my heart. This episode’s picture is the face she made after she ate the red seeds. I didn’t laugh like Shin did though. I Awh’ed.
